The Cherupushpa Mission League is an indigenous lay missionary organization, established on 3rd October 1947 at Bharananganam, in the diocese of Palai (Then diocese of Changanacherry) Kerala, S. India. Bharananganam is a pilgrim centre, where pilgrims from all over India, come in flocks to pray at the tomb of St. Sr. Alphonsa.

This organization
was started functioning in 1947 in Bharananganam-the blessed place of
St.Alphonsa –by Rev.Fr.Joseph Maliparambil and Sri .P.C.AbrahamPallattukunnel
(Kunjettan)under the saintly leadership of His Excellency Mar James Kalassery
the Bishop of Changanassery.C.M.L was officially inaugurated by His
ExcellencyMar Thomas Tharayil-Bishop of Kottayam on 3rd October 1947 the
50th death anniversary of St.Theresa the
Little Flower at Alphonsanagar Bharanganam
His Holiness Pope Leo XIII
Prophesied that the salvation of India is in the hands of her
children.Taking the words of Holyfather as the moto this organization is meant
for the lay apostolate in the various dioceses of India and away in many
foreign countries as well.
